Aoudad Hunting in Texas

Aoudad Hunting Season: Aoudad can be hunted year-round in Texas, however we recommend hunting Aoudad Oct-Feb since this is when they’ll be herding with the Ewes and much easier to spot.

Here on the Oak Springs Ranch we have some dense vegetation that makes Aoudad hunting fun and a little challenging. We would allow 2 days to choose the largest and best trophy for yourself. There has been some controversy over the meat quality. We know that females and young males are good but have had mixed reports on the older males.

You may hunt our Aoudad using any method you prefer, including Spot and Stalk, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Safari Style, or from a Blind. 

Trophy Aoudad Hunt: $2,500

• Transportation of your Animal to Meat Processor / Taxidermist
• Firearm and Ammunition Provided, if Needed

• Access to the Ranch’s fishing (catch and release in our stocked ponds) 

All hunts require a minimum of one night lodging: $250 per night

Non-Hunter Per Night (Observing Fee): $200

**If you shoot a pregnant female of any breed, you will be fined $1,000.**
